Description
Should insurance companies be required to cover diagnostic and therapy services for autism and the wide spectrum of disorders related to it? A bipartisan group of 30 Ohio lawmakers is backing such a requirement, noting that 32 states already have such a law. Business groups are heavily opposed. They see the law as yet another mandate that will drive up health insurance costs for all.

Lorri Unumb, Vice President for State Government Affairs, Autism Speaks

Rep. Nickie J. Antonio, D-Lakewood, HB 598 co-sponsor

Keith Lake, managing director of government affairs, Ohio Chamber of Commerce
