Governor Ted Strickland

Description
Governor Strickland stands in front of a large sculpture at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth while talking about higher education Friday, Aug. 10. The Governor was at Shawnee State to discuss accomplishments for higher education in the biennial budget, including a two-year tuition freeze and additional scholarships for students pursing STEM disciplines. The Governor also talked about The University System of Ohio. The system, which consists of the state's two- and four-year public colleges and universities and numerous adult career centers, was recently created to increase collaboration and cooperation among higher education institutions in Ohio.
