Each year more than one-third of Americans age 65 and older suffer from falls. In fact, falling is the leading cause of injury-related death in seniors. September 23 is Fall Prevention Awareness Day, a day when we should all consider how we can reduce the risk of our loved ones falling or even ourselves. Because during this autumn season, it is leaves that are supposed to fall, not people.
