Description
The Republican-led Ohio Ballot Board drew criticism and threats of a lawsuit last week over language it approved for the abortion rights issue on the November ballot.

Among the objections: The wording for the constitutional amendment will contain the phrase "unborn child" instead of the medical term "fetus."

That was not the only ballot-related developments last week. The board also approved without changes the language for a recreational marijuana ballot measure in November.

Also, it's back to the drawing board for a group trying to fix the way Ohio draws political maps in 2024.

We'll discuss this and also look at Ohioan Vivek Ramaswamy who was front and center in the first Republican presidential debate. It's our weekly Reporter Roundtable.

Host:

Amy Juravich, 89.7 NPR News Midday Host and assistant program director

Guests:

Jessie Balmert, state government reporter with the USA TODAY Network Ohio Bureau
Natalie Fahmy, statehouse reporter for NBC4
Andrew J. Tobias, statehouse reporter for Cleveland.com
