Description
Federal prosecutors recommend that former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder should spend 16 to 20 years in prison for orchestrating the largest public corruption case in Ohio history.

They wrote that he acted as the quote "quintessential mob boss, directing the criminal enterprise from the shadows."

Householder's attorneys countered with a much more modest sentence recommendation, saying their client is a broken man who deserves months - not years - behind bars.

Householder and former GOP chair Matt Borges were convicted on bribery and racketeering charges in a $61 million dollar nuclear bailout scheme.

Meanwhile, back at the Statehouse, no meaningful reforms have been passed by the Republican-majority General Assembly in the aftermath of the scandal.

On our weekly Reporter Roundtable, the Householder sentencing, plus the latest on the budget bill.
