William Shkurti read an article in The Washington Post while serving in Vietnam as an Artillery Officer and knew some things in the article didn't make sense to him. After asking so many questions, he was influenced to write his book "Soldiering On in a Dying War: The True Story of the Firebase Pace Incidents and the Vietnam Drawdown."
John F. Guilmartin Jr. is a Vietnam War veteran who has taught history at the Air Force Academy and the Naval War College. He is the author of several books, including two on the Vietnam War, "A Very Short War" and "America in Vietnam, the Fifteen Year War."
