Curated by Marcella Hackbardt, the exhibition features contemporary Ohio fine art photographers whose images mobilize and manifest inventive construction of space. The Photographs negotiate distance and proximity as they examine three-dimensional depths depicted with the camera's perspectival authority, as well as spaces deeply inscribed with intellectual, emotional and aesthetic perceptions.
"Photography translates the three-dimensional world into a two-dimensional representation, but is well know for retaining the sensation of real space, volume and vastness," said Curator Marcella Hackbardt. "Immersing the observer in a place on the other side of the lens, these artists transport us through time, history and the proverbial looking glass."
Artists in the show include: Jodi Boatman, Debra A. Davis, Grant Fletcher, Jaime Kennedy, Allyson Klutenkamper, Bridget Murphy Milligan, Emily Hanako Momohara, Benjamin Montague, Pipo Nguyen-duy, Rachel Girard Reisert, Barry Underwood, Kelly Urquhart, Yvette van der Velde, Lynn Whitney
