COLUMBUS - Senate Minority Whip Kent Smith (D-Euclid) and Senate Assistant Minority Leader Hearcel F. Craig (D-Columbus) will host a press conference to announce the introduction of three pieces of utility legislation on Thursday, September 7 at 2 p.m. in the Harding Senate Briefing Room.
The first piece of legislation is to prevent utility disconnection for certain groups in Ohio. The second is to get politics out of utility bills. The third and final is a reintroduction of Senate Bill 117 of the 134th General Assembly. This legislation is a repeal of Ohio Valley Electric Corporation's bailout.
