NW Ohio Journal - The Arts in Northwest Ohio

WBGU-PBS' NW Ohio Journal featured a discussion about the economic impact of the arts in Northwest and West Central Ohio.

Host Mike Carroll was joined in the WBGU-PBS studio by guests Dr. Katerina Ruedi Ray, Director of Bowling Green State University's School of Art, and Brian Keegan, Director of Lima's Veterans Memorial, Civic and Convention Center.

A recent study reports local artistic industries contributed more than $150 million in federal tax revenue and nearly $97 million in state and local taxes.

Viewers were encouraged to call in with their questions and offer their comments during this live, public affairs program, and to take part in the weekly NW Ohio Journal web poll and online discussion.

Programs can also be viewed in their entirety online at the WBGU-PBS website the day after the program airs.

NW Ohio Journal is WBGU-PBS' weekly public affairs show that covers legislative, education, health, and economic issues, and features rotating hosts with expertise in these areas.
