Governor John Kasich announces $16.2 million in Innovative Grants awarded through Ohio's Race to the Top Initiative. These 45 Innovative Grants have been awarded to school districts and community schools across Ohio from the Ohio Department of Education. The Programs will focus on the following models: AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), New Tech (The New Technology Network), Asia Society, Early College High Schools, and other proven models.
