Finer With Age - Arthritis & SRO Theatre Company

Play

Segment 1: One in five Americans is living with the pain of arthritis. That's 46 million people currently and it is estimated that a staggering 67 million people will be affected by 2030. May is National Arthritis Awareness Month and the Arthritis Foundation is working to inform the public of the benefits of physical activity to ease the pain of arthritis or prevent some forms from developing. To elaborate on this topic, Chris Parsons and Leslie Johnson with the Arthritis Foundation, join the show.

Segment 2: Growing up adults often told us to act our age. But sometimes acting your age, or even yourself can be overrated. Have ever yearned to be someone else, to do crazy and outlandish things? Perhaps you dream of breaking into song and dance at the drop of a hat. The Senior Repertory of Ohio, or SRO Theatre Company, has been doing just that for more than 26 years in Central Ohio. Nancy Nocks, the executive and artistic director of the SRO Theatre Company, and Ruth Fullen, an actress and singer with the Company as well as the SRO Women's Choral Ensemble Director elaborate on this topic.
