In this episode, Bonnie Kantor-Burman, the new director of the Ohio Department of Aging, joins Finer with Age to host her first show.

Segment 1: Ohio's Aging Eye Public Private Partnership is helping the state prepare for the early detection, treatment and rehabilitation services that will be needed as the baby boomers age and increase the risk for age-related eye diseases, including macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. Kira Baldonado, of Prevent Blindness Ohio and Ohio's Aging Eye Public Private Partnership, and Dr. Larry Leguire, the Director of Electrophysiological Testing and Eye Research at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio's Aging Eye Public Private Partnership, discuss how we can protect our eyesight and prevent blindness.

Segment 2: The Red Hat Society is dedicated to reshaping the way women are viewed in today's culture and on April 25th chapters worldwide will celebrate the thirteenth annual Red Hat Society Day. Carmela Criswell and Jane Hartman explain what all the fun is about and what it means to have HAT-itude!
