Ronald M. Berkman, PhD; President, Cleveland State University-will be Mr. Feagler's only guest. Cleveland State's eighth president began work in July of last year after moving from Florida International University, where he served as provost, executive vice president and chief operating officer. He took over for retired president Michael Schwartz who served eight years and set the university on a course of growth and higher visibility in northeast Ohio.

Several new campus buildings are nearing completion, including a student center and an education building. Berkman plans to continue in that vein by adding mixed-use housing in the north campus area. Under his leadership, the university is developing a K-12 public school designed to serve children of the college staff, but open to other students as well. The university is also pursuing establishment of an accelerated medical degree program in partnership with NEOUCOM.
