He is stepping down with several months left in his term to take a job with the Columbus-based private law firm Bricker & Eckler. Mason has spent nearly 14 years in the office he was appointed to when his predecessor, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, won election to Congress. Former judge Timothy McGinty has been appointed to serve out the rest of Mason's term. McGinty is the Democratic nominee for the new term beginning next year.

Amish Verdict
16 members of a breakaway Amish group, including leader Samuel Mullet, Sr. have been found guilty of hate crimes for beard and hair-cutting attacks on rival Amish leaders. Jurors agreed with federal prosecutors who said the attacks were sectarian in nature and as such were subject to federal hate crimes laws. The defendants face the possibility of ten years in prison.
Art Modell - What Did He Know and When Did He Know it?
The former Browns owner's legacy acquired a shabbier patina when two former public officials said Modell had turned down an offer to build a new football stadium. Ex-county commissioner Tim Hagan and former city council president George Forbes say they made an informal offer to include a football stadium in the Gateway complex, home to Progressive Field and Quicken Loans arena, but that Modell rejected it.
Addiction
As part of ideastream's on-going Addiction coverage, Feagler & Friends focuses on quitting the cigarette habit. Despite anti-smoking publicity, laws outlawing smoking in most public places and onerous tobacco taxes, 19%, or more than 45 million Americans, still smoke. It's said to be the leading preventable cause of death. Why is quitting so hard and are cessation methods improving with time? Mr. Feagler will ask Dr. Leanne Chrisman-Khawan, a family practitioner in Cleveland's MetroHealth System.
