Sheri Fink, M.D., Ph.D., is the author of the award-winning book War Hospital: A True Story of Surgery and Survival. Dr. Fink wrote the August 30, 2009 New York Times Magazine cover story, "Strained by Katrina, a Hospital Faced Deadly Choices," which was awarded a 2010 Pulitzer Prize. She regularly reports for ProPublica and is a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
