Deadline Now - 10-7-2016 - Matt Grossman

We're in the middle of what some are calling the most important Presidential Election in history. Certainly, in many ways it is the strangest. The polls have been all over the place, but they were in the primaries too. Back in March, all the polls agreed that Hillary Clinton would win Michigan's primary by a landslide, but Bernie Sanders won. The only survey that came close to getting it right was one run by Matt Grossman, a political science professor and lifetime political junkie who now runs the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University. He also has a new book out - Asymmetric Politics, which tells how the two parties have become very different creatures.
