Deadline Now - 10-28-2016 - Attracting Young People Downtown

There's clear evidence that Toledo has a major problem not only attracting young educated professionals, but keeping the ones who grow up here. A recent study of U.S. Census data showed Toledo was near the bottom when it came to its percentage of degree-holding millennials. Many have left to find better jobs, or more interesting people with whom to socialize, or because they want more cultural diversity. This is a problem that has also affected many older industrial cities. But many of them, including Detroit, are now attracting young people back downtown. What does Toledo need to do and is there hope on the horizon?
