C ity Council task force. White papers. Consortiums. A lot of energy, effort and thought are being invested to determine and assure a successful future for the arts in our community. What new ideas are coming from the collaborative efforts of the best and brightest minds in the arts community? Have the task force and study groups surfaced models from other cities that might be employed here? Are there new goals, strategies and priorities for the arts in Columbus? What are the challenges and opportunities for funding for the arts and how does Columbus overcome the hurdles and benefit from the good stuff? How will Columbus's cultural landscape be shaped in 2007 and beyond?
On January 31, four arts leaders Lawson, Bell; Breithaupt and Knicely will lead a lively discussion about the findings of the collaborative work and what lies ahead.
