Meet David Chesebrough, New President & CEO of COSI

Dr. David Chesebrough began as President and Chief Executive Officer of COSI on April 1 following the endorsement from Carl Kohrt, COSI Governing Board Chair, saying that Chesebrough, was the board's unanimous choice after an intense national search.
"We are extremely pleased that Dr. Chesebrough has agreed to become our new President and CEO. His passion for education gives him a profound appreciation for our mission here at COSI. At the same time, he brings a strong business acumen and understands the financial challenges of the non-profit science center world," said Kohrt.

Chesebrough replaces Dr. Kathryn Sullivan, who announced her resignation in February to take on the role of COSI science advisor. Sullivan served as President of COSI for almost ten years. Chesebrough joins the science center after five and one half years as President and CEO of the Buffalo Museum of Science.
Chesebrough says that COSI was an early benchmark that he frequented and studied when he joined the science center field 18 years ago, relating that his professional viewpoints have been influenced by the best of COSI.

How will he continue to improve and enhance the experiences COSI offers and build additional partnerships with educational and cultural partners to sustain the growth and deepening of our service to the community and region."
