Moderated by: Dr. Philip Cass, CEO, Columbus Medical Association
Panelists: Roxanne Qualls, Former Mayor of Cincinnati and Director, Public Leadership Initiatives at Northern Kentucky University
Richard St. John, Executive Director, Conversations for the Commonwealth

There's plenty of "talk" in the public square. But is anyone really listening? Are people considering things that truly matter? How can we encourage genuinely meaningful discussion? On Wednesday, February 7 Roxanne Qualls, 2001 Harvard Loeb Fellow, will share insights on the challenge of problem solving among diverse stakeholders, using practical examples from her tenure as Mayor of Cincinnati, as well as her current work in regional planning. Richard St. John , 2002 Harvard Loeb Fellow, is a published poet and experienced community development professional who successfully uses arts and humanities materials to build relationships across difference, foster mutual learning, and spark civic engagement. Rick will share lessons for arts organizations, community organizations and others engaged in civic change about creating deeply reflective civic space, drawn from Pittsburgh-based Conversations for Common Wealth. This dialogue will be moderated by Columbus' own conversation expert, Dr. Phillip Cass, CEO of the Columbus Medical Association.
