Since being appointed president of the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1998, Dennison Griffith has helped develop the Columbus College of Art and Design into a leader in visual arts education, creating a resource for artist and the community.

More than 1,300 students from 40 states and 30 foreign countries are enrolled at CCAD, and graduates hold key positions as artists and designers in major companies and institutions throughout the country and abroad. Their access speaks well for the culture that Griffith has brought to the college in his time as president.

He currently co-chairs the Creative Services Committee a member of the board of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Executive Committee for the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, and is Chair of the Higher Education Council of Columbus.

In addition to business and administrative pursuits, Griffith is also an acclaimed artist. He is the recipient of fellowships for painting from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Ohio Arts Council, and an Arts Midwest/NEA Regional Fellowship. His work has been included in more than 80 solo and group exhibitions.
