For more than 25 years, The City Club has hosted the Annual High School Debate Championships there the top two area high school debaters square off in a classic "Lincoln-Douglas" style debate at a Friday Forum. Debate teams from across Northeast Ohio are invited to attend.

This year, the two finalists are:

Victor Mezacapa from University School (coached by Peter Paik and James Lewis) and
Anirudh Dasarathy from Hawken School (coached by Robert Shurtz)
