Brian P. Rothenberg is Executive Director of ProgressOhio, which he founded in 2006. Under his leadership ProgressOhio has grown to over 420,000 members. ProgressOhio is the state's largest progressive advocacy organization and is regularly sought as out as the authority on progressive issues in Ohio.

ProgressOhio has been a partner of Mayor's Against Illegal Guns since 2008 working with community groups, churches and activists to advocate for enforcement of gun laws including required background checks on gun sales.

Michael Weinman was about one year into his career as a police officer when he was shot and paralyzed in the line of duty. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and is now Director of Government at the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, Inc.

Gun control and the Second Amendment are issues that are perennially debated and divisive issues. With the recent rash of gun violence across the country, gun control will also likely be a hotly contested topic in the upcoming election season. Mr. Rothenberg is working to close loopholes in gun purchases and support legislation that targets illegal guns.
