Description
Ray C. Bliss was a stickler for details who hated to lose. He chaired the Summit County and Ohio GOP and, in the mid-1960s, the national party in his 50-year behind-the-scenes career, detailed in a book "Mr. Chairman" by John Green and William Hershey. Then, David Giffels, a professor at the University of Akron, tells us what he learned building his own coffin with his father. It's the focus of his memoir, Furnishing Eternity.

Guests:
-John Green, Co-Author, Mr. Chairman: The Life and Times of Ray C. Bliss, & Director, Bliss Institute of Applied Politics
-William Hershey, Co-Author, Mr. Chairman: The Life and Times of Ray C. Bliss & Former Washington Correspondent, Akron Beacon Journal
-David Giffels, Author, Furnishing Eternity: A Father, a Son, a Coffin, and a Measure of Life & Associate Professor of English, University of Akron
