Description
Obesity is the number one disease afflicting children in the United States. Overweight kids are more likely to develop conditions like high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes which can have life-long implications. We'll discuss what's behind this alarming trend and what parents can do to help their families be healthier. We also get an update on the Cleveland-area teenager who was placed in foster care because of his struggle with morbid obesity. Finally, how Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is working to prevent their gorillas from developing heart disease.

Guests:
- Leila Atassi, Reporter, Cleveland.com
- Shirley Moore, Ph.D., Distinguished University Professor of Nursing at Case Western
