Governor Bob Taft reads to a group of students at Taft Elementary in Youngstown on March 23, 2006, as part of "Community Day: Read a Book to a Child", sponsored by the Youngstown STARS/Foster Grandparents reading program. Youngstown STARS/Foster Grandparents is an intergenerational literacy tutoring program at six elementary schools, which pairs senior volunteers with students reading at the lowest levels of their class.
