Wes Cowan of the popular PBS TV shows History Detectives and Antiques Roadshow acts as the the keynote speaker for the 2010 Statehood Day at the Statehouse. Cowan will join history and preservation advocates in recognition of Ohio's statehood and to promote the state's rich heritage.

Cowan, who is founder and owner of Cowan's Auctions in Cincinnati, is an internationally recognized expert in historic Americana. He appears as one of the lead investigators on History Detectives and is a featured appraiser on the Antiques Roadshow. Cowan's Auctions has grown from a one-man shop to a nationally recognized business generating $20 million in annual sales.

Statehood Day commemorates Ohio's founding on March 1, 1803, the date when Ohio became the nation's 17th state.
