Ohio's first scheduled execution of 2012 is on hold, delayed in a blistering opinion by U.S. District Judge Gregory Frost, who blasted the state for not following the execution protocol it created. Advocates for the so-called Personhood Ohio Amendment appeared before the ballot board this week, and backers of a citizen-initiated law that would ban dog auctions in Ohio were told they were a bit short on their signatures. An area of northeast Ohio has been rocked nearly a dozen times over the last year with minor earthquakes that are being connected to a deep injection well near Youngstown. This week more than a hundred protestors from around the state stood on the west steps of the Statehouse, including Jamie Frederick of Coitsville, Chelsea Tunnel from Loveland, Rep. Nickie Antonio (D-Lakewood) and Rep. Bob Hagan (D-Youngstown).
