"For as long as humans have made art, artists have used it to affect the health and well-being of the body. From apotropaic imagery adorning the tools of healers, to fine art installed in hospital settings, the connection between the visual arts and healing is well established. In this exhibition, 15 artists approach the connection between art and health in distinct ways. Although each approach is deeply personal, they can be loosely grouped into interconnected ideas: medicine and science, personal health, and the COVID-19 pandemic. We each have a personal health journey; our relationship to medicine, care, and wellness is as distinct as our DNA. The artists in this exhibition all use their unique artistic voices to explore how medicine and health interact with their lives and propose ways to explore its implications for us all." ­­-Sienna Brown, Curator
