The Sound of Ideas

Description
Art isn't just colors on canvass decorating a wall or random words strung together and called a poem. Art, through history, has played an important role in society. And artists, through their work, have provoked us to think, to see, sometimes to act. Wednesday at 9:00 on The Sound of Ideas: Artists as social agents and art as a vehicle to spur action. It's the yearlong theme at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the hour long theme of The Sound of Ideas.

Guests:

Stephen Vetter, president, Partners of the Americas

Barbara Chira, chief academic officer, Cleveland Institute of Art

Bruce Checefsky, director, Reinberger Galleries, Cleveland Institute of Art

Mark Chupp, assistant professor of community development, Case Western Reserve University
