Description
In 2013, authorities began to test DNA evidence in rape cases, evidence that had sat for years unchecked on police department shelves. Since that time, as investigators raced to beat the statute of limitations, more than 240 indictments were issued in Cuyahoga County. Convictions were reached in nine out of ten resolved cases. We'll talk a look at the status of cold-case rape investigations in Cuyahoga County and beyond.

Guests:

Rick Bell, Special Investigations Division Chief, Cuyahoga County Office of the Prosecutor

Dennis Sweet, Bureau of Criminal Investigation Special Agent in Charge

Rachel Dissell, reporter for The Plain Dealer

Carolyn Cassin, president and CEO of Michigan Women's Foundation

Jennifer Williams, rape victim
