Description
COLUMBUS - Senate Assistant Minority Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood), Senator Sandra R. Williams (D-Cleveland), House Minority Whip Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park), and Representative Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown) will host a press conference on Tuesday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. in the Harding Senate Briefing Room at the Ohio Statehouse to discuss their proposed amendment to Ohio's Constitution that would ensure all people have the freedom to make decisions about their bodies and health care. The proposed constitutional amendment follows a leaked draft ruling from the Supreme Court indicating that the conservative majority will strike down Roe v. Wade in the coming months. The leaked opinion, which is not a final decision by the Court, presents a reversal on 50-year protections for safe and legal access to abortion in the United States.

WHO:
Ohio Senate Assistant Minority Leader Senator Nickie J. Antonio
State Senator Sandra R. Williams
Ohio House Minority Whip Representative Jessica E. Miranda
State Representative Michele Lepore-Hagan
