COLUMBUS - The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) held a press conference on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Senate Minority Conference Room (Senate Building, Room 230) voicing their concerns about the impacts of Senate Bill 1 on students and the workforce and urging the governor to veto the bill.
The Ohio Senate is expected to send Senate Bill 1 to the governor's desk following a concurrence vote Wednesday afternoon. OLBC members, Democratic Caucus members, and impacted Ohioans will discuss the bill's harmful impact and emphasize the need for executive action to safeguard Ohio's education institutions and workforce.
