The 2009 Ohio State Fair Girl Scout Speech Competition was held on August 3 at the Ohio Virtual Academy Youth Center. The two contestants were Jessica Harmon (Cadette Scout from GS Western Ohio, Buckeye Trails Region) and Savannah Ferkins (Senior Scout from GS Western Ohio, Appleseed Ridge Region). The contestants were were judged by Kim Clark (Girl Scout Ohio's Heartland, Program Services Director and Staff Advisor) and Patty Dyer (Grange, Junior Activities Director).
