Ohio Stories - History

Description
Ohio's significance in the American Presidency has been widely discussed over the years, and those who had a hand in shaping our country's government have deep roots in our state.

In this Conversation with Presidential Descendants, host Colleen Marshall sits down with family members of former Presidents of the United States, spanning over 200 years of American leadership. The participants include:

- Dr. Henry Adams, the sixth generation grandson of President John Adams and the fifth generation grandson of President John Quincy Adams
- Mark Roosevelt, the great-grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt
- Bob Taft, former Ohio governor and great-grandson of President William Howard Taft
- Dr. George Harding, grand-nephew of President Warren G. Harding of Ohio

These four men, each with noteworthy accomplishments of their own, give an inside look at the family life of their ancestors and discuss the widely known character traits of their relatives. Their fresh perspective gives a deeper understanding of the families that are so important to the American legacy.

A special thanks is extended to Greg Browning, Jo Ann Davidson, Ohio History Connection, and each of the participants for making this project possible.

From the South Hearing Room at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio.
