Description
Lt. Governor Mary Taylor dedicated a bronze statue of inventor Thomas Edison in the rotunda of the Ohio Statehouse. The statue will eventually replace that of Ohio legislator William Allen in the National Statuary Hall in Washington, DC.



Thomas Edison was born in Milan, Ohio in 1847.
