Governor John Kasich, Joyce Garver Keller, Daniel Libeskind, and Sen. Chris Widener delivered remarks at the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Ohio Holocaust & Liberators Memorial site. The event took place on the Ohio Statehouse grounds.

Daniel Libeskind was chosen by an artist selection committee to design the Ohio Holocaust & Liberators Memorial. The memorial will be located on the southwest grounds of the Statehouse.
