Gov. Kasich helped out in the groundbreaking of Zane State's new Education and Training Center facility at its Cambridge campus. The Capital Budget allocated $6 million to the completion of the project, which will help Zane State prepare Ohioans to fill job openings in the energy industry.
Along with the governor are Michael Whitson, Dean of Cambridge Campus, John Knight, III, Chair of the Zane State College Board of Trustees, John Matesich, III, Chair of the Zane State College Foundation Board of Directors, State Senator Troy Balderson, State Rep. Andy Thompson, State Rep. Brian Hill, Mayor of the City of Cambridge Tom Orr, Norm Blanchard, Executive Director of the Cambridge/Guernsey County CIC, and Dr. Paul Brown, President of Zane State College.
Cambridge Education and Training Center will utilize geo-thermal heating and cooling. Also the center will house the College's energy programs.
