Segment 1: Each May we celebrate Older Americans month, a time to commemorate the accomplishments of our older citizens, express our gratitude for their contributions to society and encourage them to live vibrant, meaningful lives. This year's theme for Older Americans Month is "Age Strong! Live Long!" Ted Strickland, the Governor of Ohio, joins Finer with Age to share his perspective on being a fully engaged older Ohioan, who believes Ohio seniors are one of our state's great assets.

Segment 2: In this segment, Finer with Age visits Schnormeier Gardens in the gently rolling hills of Gambier, Ohio. The second weekend in June presents a once per year opportunity to tour the 75 acres of exquisite gardens of this generally private estate, which has a distinct Asian flavor featuring a variety of plantings that are rich in color and texture accented by boulders, stone walls, waterfalls, unique sculptures and structures.
