Description
Segment 1: Low- and moderate-income Ohioans have a resource to help them access work supports, income enhancements and assistance programs. The Ohio Benefit Bank, administered by the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks, focuses on connecting Ohioans with their FULL tax refunds and believes that no one should have to fight to keep the money they have earned. They strive to make federal and state tax filing as easy as possible for Ohioans. In this segment, Lisa Hamler-Fugitt, the Executive Director of the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks, and Susan Rogers, the Executive Director of RSVP of the Ohio Valley discuss how you can "hang on" to your complete refund and all of the credits that your family may be eligible for, including the Earned Income Tax Credit and much more!

Segment 2: Every February, the First Lady of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Aging celebrate Ohio couples for their dedication to marriage and volunteerism at the annual Joined Hearts in Giving event at the governor's residence. Held in observance of Valentine's Day, Joined Hearts in Giving honors Ohioans at least 60 years old who have been married 40 years or longer and who share a commitment to volunteerism. The countless hours and hard work they generously give, along with their commitment to each other is a model we can all take to heart. In this segment, Richard and Annette Rush of Grove City discuss their 50 years of marriage and more than 20 years of volunteering together.
