Finer With Age

Description
Segment 1: Did you know that Americans over the age of 65 are nearly twice as like to die in a fire than other age groups? Whether living independently or in a care facility, there are steps seniors can take to remain safe from fire. Alonzo King from the Columbus Division of Fire joins Finer with Age to give tips on how to prevent fires and be ready if we ever find ourselves in that terrible situation.

Segment 2: Across the state we have numerous state parks that boast wonderful walking and hiking trails. It's a great time to get out and enjoy some fresh air, nature, and the benefits of exercise. The Walk with a Doc program allows you to take a walk and learn more about the benefits of exercise or other health topics at the same time. To discuss this program, Doctor David Sabgir, a board-certified cardiologist from Mount Carmel St. Ann's and founder of Walk with A Doc, and Kathryn Stephens, the Program Director of Walk with A Doc, join this segment of Finer with Age.
