The Ohio Statehouse is home to a complete collection of portraits of every Governor of Ohio. This historic and accurate collection would not have been possible without the efforts of Governor Rutherford B. Hayes, who in 1848 began commissioning artwork to honor each citizen who served as the state's chief commander.
