Amy Butcher's award-winning essays have appeared in the New York Times, the Iowa Review, The American Scholar and Salon. Her first book, Visiting Hours, chronicles her relationship with a college friend who commits a murder. Amy is currently an assistant professor of English at Ohio Wesleyan University.
