Black History MonthSupreme Court of Ohio

Description
In 2008, the Supreme Court of Ohio launched a Law and Leadership Institute, to provide leadership training and academic support to students in urban areas to pursue careers in the legal profession. The goal was to raise interest and prepare young people who were previously unfamiliar with the judicial system to compete for careers in law.

Today, the Law and Leadership Institute has grown into a mentoring
collaborative of courts, bar associations, and law schools. It has more than tripled in size and strength since its start.
A fundamental role of the judiciary is to resolve conflicts based on the Constitution and laws of Ohio through a system that is fair and equal, with access to all.
Students will share their personal stories and secrets of their success to show how the quality of justice grows in fairness, equality, and access when the profession becomes more diverse.
