Description
George Washington Williams was a Civil War veteran, minister, politician and historian. He was the first African American elected to the Ohio legislature and he authored "History of the Negro Race in America from 1619 to 1880."

In this program, Anthony Gibbs, a member of educational storytellers known as "We've Known Rivers," portrays George Washington Williams.
