Description
The Food and Drug Administration on Saturday granted an emergency use authorization for the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson.

The vaccine is the third to be authorized for use in the U.S. and is unique in that it only requires a single dose.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Monday that 96,100 doses of the vaccine are heading to Ohio this week. The first was administered on Tuesday.

Today on Wellness Wednesday, we take a look at what to know about the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Guests:
Karen Weintraub, health reporter, USA Today
Monica Reinagel, nutritionist; chef; and creator, Nutrition Diva podcast
Dr. Electra Paskett, Marion N. Rowley Chair of Cancer Research and the director of the Center for Cancer Health Equity at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center--Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute
