Description
An Ohio couple has been identified as leaders of the neo-Nazi "Dissident Homeschool" Telegram channel, distributing lesson plans to 2,400 members.

We'll discuss how these groups operate and the investigation into their activities by the Ohio Department of Education.

VICE reported that Logan and Katja Lawrence of Upper Sandusky have been operating their Telegram channel for two-and-a-half years, teaching parents how to indoctrinate their children, and encouraging them to meet in real life.

More than 51,000 children are homeschooled in Ohio, where state law requires only that parents notify their local district and submit proof that whoever is doing the teaching has at least a high school diploma or other equivalence.

We hear from the VICE reporter who uncovered the story and more about how homeschooling works in Ohio.

Guests:

David Gilbert, Senior Reporter, VICE News
Haley BeMiller, Political reporter, USA TODAY Network Ohio Bureau
Carmen Longoria-Green, attorney and Coalition for Responsible Home Education Board President
