Description
Segment One

Bats are one of the most misunderstood mammals on the planet. They're in the same class of animals as us humans and bats are important to our livelihood, just as we're important to theirs. In this segment, we'll talk about and celebrate the International Year of the Bat.

Guest:

James Eggers (Education Director for Bat Conservation International)

Segment Two

A record 170 million Americans are expected to celebrate Halloween this year, according to the National Retail Federation. The average person will spend about $28 on costumes and it's not just kids dressing up. Adults and pets are getting in on the action, too. In this segment, we'll talk about the hottest trends in costumes for this Halloween season.

Guest:

Kathy Grannis (Spokesperson for the National Retail Federation)
