All Sides with Ann Fisher

Description
The Greater Columbus Arts Council proposed a seven percent tax in August on tickets and admission to all events in the city.

While the tax would raise money for the arts and bankroll upgrades to Nationwide Arena, anyone going to practically any event in Columbus will have to pay extra.

Today on All Sides, we discuss the ticket-tax and how other communities fund their arts.

Guests:
Ken Gordon, features reporter, The Columbus Dispatch
Meghan Wells, manager, Cultural Arts Division
David Fantle, chief marketing officer, Milwaukee's United Performing Arts Fund
Mitch Swain, CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, former executive director of the Jazz Arts Group in Columbus
Nate Nale, founder and CEO of HomeTownTicketing.com and Easy Peasy Ticketing
Jami Goldstein, Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Events, The Greater Columbus Arts Council
