An uncrewed spacecraft smashed into an asteroid last week in an effort to deflect the space rock.
It was the culmination of the Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, a NASA mission meant to test the feasibility of altering the orbit of an asteroid by crashing something into it.
The mission was a success. In the future, this technique could be used to prevent a future asteroid from colliding with Earth.
Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we are taking a look at the DART mission and why NASA is looking into planetary defense. Plus, a discussion on content oversight on social media and the new Pixel phone.
